Did you know worship is a weapon of warfare? In addition to being used to show reverence and love to God, worship is also a tactic that can be used against the enemy and the kingdom of darkness in heated battles of spiritual warfare.
When I was reading the bible the other day, I came across a passage of scripture that intrigued me.
"You have built a stronghold by the songs of children. Strength rises up with the chorus of infants. This kind of praise has power to shut Satan’s mouth. Childlike worship will silence the madness of those who oppose you."
Psalm 8:2 (Passion Translation)
Our worship can literally silence Satan's mouth and the mouths of those that oppose us. That is how powerful our worship is. Yet, we rarely use it when we engage the enemy in spiritual warfare. Prayer is a weapon. Binding and loosing is a weapon. Decreeing and declaring the word of God is a weapon. But if you want to shut Satan's mouth as Psalm 8:2 says, you need to go in full pledge worship when the enemy attacks you.
Psalms 149: 6-9, says, "God’s high and holy praises fill their mouths, for their shouted praises are their weapons of war! These warring weapons will bring vengeance on the nations and every resistant power—to bind kings with chains and rulers with iron shackles. Praise-filled warriors will enforce
the judgment decreed against their enemies.
Kings in this scripture references demonic principalities and high ranking demons. When used as a spiritual warfare weapon, worship can bind demonic powers and forces and enforce God's judgment upon them. So next time you engage in spiritual warfare, worship God. Worship in Him in spirit and in truth.
I pray this this post blessed you. If it did, please share it on your social media platforms.
