How To Fight Racism In The Spirit Realm Part 2

In my last blog post, "Racism, The Principality Demon That Rules This Nation" I shared my spiritual insights about the spirit of racism. Here is an overview of the post:

*Racism is a principality spirit, which means it is one the highest ranking demonic spirits in the kingdom of darkness.

*The spirit of racism operates in people who do not have the Holy Spirit operating inside of them and people who have unconfessed and unrepented sins, iniquities, and transgressions in their hearts and bloodlines.

*The spirit of racism does not exclusively operate in white people, it operates in all races.

*White people are more prone to operate in the spirit racism because of the curse of leprosy upon their race. A disease which differentiates their skin from other races.

*Not all white people are racists or operate in the spirit of racism, and even the ones who do can be forgiven, delivered, and set free from it.

* Satan is the real enemy. He uses people to do his bidding and he is the mastermind behind the spirit of racism.

Okay, now that you have that information it's time for you to learn how to fight the spirit of racism.

While protesting brings awareness to the issue of racism, it does not change the hearts of the people that operate in it. Before you can fight racism in the natural, you have to first defeat the spirit racism in the spiritual realm. So let's talk about the war strategy.

1. Repent

Before you fight against any spirit, you must first repent and break off any legal rights that allows the spirit to operate. 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Never start a spiritual battle without repenting. Racism is a principality demon and a hard spirit to fight against. Therefore, it is essential you repent of all known and unknown sins, iniquities, and transgressions. This includes individually and corporately. Repent of racism operating in the city, state, and nation you live in. Secondly, forgive those who have operated in racism against you or family members. Do not let the accuser of the brethren, Satan, be able to accuse you in the Courts of Heaven of having unforgiveness in your heart. Understand, our unconfessed and unrepented sins and and unforgiveness causes God not to hear our prayers.

2.Go on fast as the Holy Spirit leads you.

Jesus said, "But this kind does not go out but by prayer and fasting." Racism is a "this kind" of a spirit that requires intensive prayer and fasting. You need to make sure your flesh is completely killed before battling against the spirit. Racism is a hateful spirit and when you fight against it expect to get more hateful. As the old folk say, get ready for it to "turn up the heat". So you need to make sure your heart is humbled and filled with love because if not, the spirit you are fighting against will overtake you and you will begin to operate in it.

3. Put on the whole armor of God.

Be spiritually equipped before engage the enemy. Put on all your spiritual armory before you fight! Mediate on Ephesians 6:11-18. Make sure you are spiritually ready before you start the battle.

4. Ask The Holy Spirit to give you a specific battle strategy. Every demonic spirit you fight against requires a different strategy. There are some spirits you can simply cast out and they will leave. Racism is not that spirit! Remember, it is a "this kind of spirit"! You will need to hear from the Holy Spirit on what specific things you need to fight it. If you are fighting against a spirit of racism directed individually towards you, you can fight the spirit yourself. Just use your God given spiritual power and authority given to you by Jesus (Luke 19) and war against it.

On the other hand, if you feed led by the Holy Spirit to fight against the spirit of racism in a particular entity (law enforcement, school, business, etc. ) or in your community or city, you need to do it corporately with others. Just like God placed it on your spirit to war and pray against it, He placed it on others as well. If you have a church home, talk with your pastor about it. If you don't have a church home, then pray and ask God to connect with a organization or group of people who have the same burden. Trust that if God placed on your heart, He will supernaturally connect you with the people you can pray and war with. God hates the spirit of racism just as much as we do! But He needs us to use our spiritual authority and power to fight against it.

In Part 3 of this series, I will give you specific scriptures, prayers, and songs you can use in your war strategy!

In the meantime, I want you to mediate on these scriptures against racism:

"And we no longer see each other in our former state—Jew or non-Jew, rich or poor, male or female—because we’re all one through our union with Jesus Christ with no distinction between us."Galatians 3:28

"Now I know for certain that God doesn’t show favoritism with people but treats everyone on the same basis.[ It makes no difference what race of people one belongs to. If they show deep reverence for God, and are committed to doing what’s right, they are acceptable before." Acts 10:34-35

"From one man, Adam, he made every man and woman and every race of humanity, and he spread us over all the earth. He sets the boundaries of people and nations, determining their appointed times in history."—Acts 17:26

"For God sees us all without partiality."—Romans 2:11

"But when you show prejudice you commit sin and you violate this royal law of love!" —James 2:9

"For by one Spirit we all were immersed and mingled into one single body. And no matter our status—whether we are Jews or non-Jews, oppressed or free—we are all privileged to drink deeply of the same Holy Spirit."—1 Corinthians 12:13
