As we prepare to celebrate Resurrection Sunday, I want to talk about the benefits of the Blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I think sometimes as Christians we undervalue the power of the Blood. We sing about it, and we plead it from time to time, but do we truly understand the true power, virtue, and benefits the Blood of Jesus of Christ Nazareth offers us. Yes, Jesus’ Blood paid for our sins and grants us salvation. But that is just a small fraction of all that it does for us.
One of the most overlooked aspects of the Blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is its power to speak on our behalf. When we “plead the blood of Jesus” what we are essentially doing is asking it to speak on our behalf. Hebrews 12:24 states, "And we have come to Jesus who established a new covenant with his blood sprinkled upon the mercy seat; blood that continues to speak from heaven, “forgiveness,” a better message than Abel’s blood that cries from the earth, “justice.”

In addition to the Blood speaking forgiveness on our behalf, the Blood of Jesus of Christ Nazareth also does things as well…
Redeems us-1 Peter 1:18-19, “For you know that your lives were ransomed once and for all from the empty and futile way of life handed down from generation to generation. It was not a ransom payment of silver and gold, which eventually perishes, but the precious blood of Christ—who like a spotless, unblemished lamb was sacrificed for us.”
Bring us into fellowship with God-Ephesians 2:13, “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”
Makes us at peace with God- Colossians 1:20, "It was through what his Son did that God cleared a path for everything to come to him—all things in heaven and on earth—for Christ’s death on the cross has made peace with God for all by his blood."
Cleanses Us-1 John 1:7, “But if we keep living in the pure light that surrounds him, we share unbroken fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, continually cleanses us from all sin.”
Gives power over the devil-Revelation 12:11, "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives ‘unto the death."
Saves from God’s wrath-Romans 3:25, "For God sent Christ Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to end all God’s anger against us. He used Christ’s blood and our faith as the means of saving us from his wrath.”
Justifies us-Romans 5:9, “Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!
These are not all the benefits, just a few! You find the rest of them through your own research via Google and opening up your bible! I pray that you start applying the benefits over your life. Mediate on these scriptures. Decree and declare them over yourself and your family.
