As I begin seeking God for a Word this year, He quickly led me to, 2 Corinthians 4:13, "We have the same Spirit of faith that is described in the Scriptures when it says, “First I believed, then I spoke in faith.” To walk in my God given authority this year, I am going to have to first believe in my heart that God's Words are true and then secondly, speak them in faith. The Lord said to me when I do those two things I will begin walking in my authority and I will see things changing in my life.
2020 was a hell of a year. Between COVID-19, racial injustice and tension, and the countless lives lost, it seemed liked God had forsaken His people. But we know the Word says never will He leave nor forsake us. While the pain and loss seemed unbearable, there was a remnant of His people prospering. Yes, people doing great exploits, having record year breaking sales, still winning souls for the Kingdom of God, delivering, healing, and performing miracles, and still boldly preaching the gospel of Christ. So while 2020 may have been the worst year of your life on this earth, it was the best for others.
How can this be. Simple, God said the people who knew their authority in Him walked in it was and unshaken by everything going on in the world. They knew that God had given them authority over COVID-19. Unlike the world, they didn't live in fear of catching the virus. No they stood on God's Word in Matthew 10:1, "Jesus gathered his twelve disciples and imparted to them authority to cast out demons and to heal every sickness and every disease." They used their authority and commanded that COVID-19 not come near their dwelling. And if they did get sick or someone they knew, they cast that sickness out of their body. Because they believed God's Word, and therefore they spoke it.
2021 is not going to better in the world. If you are a student of the bible you that the world is about to gradually get worse until Jesus' return. COVID-19 is a blimp compared to what is about to happened next in the world. More viruses, famines, plagues, wars, and large numbers of deaths are coming. Yet, no matter what goes in the world, you can still live in peace, prosperity, and victory if you use your authority and declare God's Word over your life and the lives of your family and friends.
I want 2021 to be a better for you. Will you go through ups and downs, challenges, tests, trials, troubles, struggles, attacks, and adversities this year? Of course you will. But when you do, remember these scriptures:
Listen, I am giving you the words you must speak. Today I give you authority over nations and kingdoms to uproot and to pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.
-Jeremiah 1:10
Now you understand that I have imparted to you all my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will be able to harm you as you walk in this authority. -Luke 10:19

Jesus summoned together his twelve apostles and imparted to them authority over every demon and the power to heal every disease. Luke 9:1
Even when bad things happen to the good and godly ones,
the Lord will save them and not let them be defeated what they face. -Psalm 34:19
No matter what happens this year, remember you have authority. You have authority over the devil. You have authority over every sickness and disease. You have the authority to create wealth. You are not subject to conform to things that happen in this world. You in this world, but you are not of this world. You are of the Kingdom. So use your Kingdom authority. This year walk in your God given authority by the words you speak.
First believe. Then speak. Things will change. Things will get better. Not because this is a new year, but because you will walk in your authority this year.
