Pray Effectively, Pray God's Will

It's time increase your prayer life and pray prayers that will bring God's Kingdom down on earth as it is in heaven in your life and the people you are praying for. Many of you, including myself, have been praying amiss or as James 4:3 states, "You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask [a]with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires." In other words, we have been praying for things that have nothing to do with the will of God for our lives.

In this season it's time to learn how to pray effectively. Praying effectively means praying God's will. Now some of you may be saying...well what it is God's will. God's will is found in His Word. God answers prayers that are in alignment with His Word and His ordained will. 1 John 5:14 says, " If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." It's time out for watered down repetitive prayers because "the earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results" (James 5:16).

If you have been struggling in your prayer life, I can guarantee you that you aren't reading, studying, and meditating on the Word of God on a regular basis. God's will is found in His Word and when you pray His Word He watches over it to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). In addition to His written Word, God's will for our lives can be given to us through a Rhema Word (a spoken Word). According to The Biblical Worldview Ministries,

"Rhema Word Rhema is personalized revelation of the Word. It is what God is revealing to your spirit from the "logos" - the general revelation of the written Word. When we need to hear from God to know His specific will in any matter confronting us whether it is for healing or some other problem or direction - We go to the Lord and ask Him for a rhema word or specific word that we may know His will. Actually faith is based on rhema not logos.

As sons and daughters of the Most High God we should be praying God's will on earth as it in heaven. God's will is found is His written word and spoken Word through the utterance of the Holy Spirit. You want God to answer your prayers...PRAY HIS WILL-HIS WORD!

This weekend write down the three important things you need to pray about. What is pressing in your spirit? After you write the three things down, find scriptures in the bible that correlate with them. Are you sick? Find scriptures on physical healing? Are you in need of finances? Find scriptures related to money? Whatever you need, I promise you there is a Word for it! When you pray God's will, He will He hear you and grant your request.

Pray effectively, pray God's will. Here is an awesome quick sermon about the importance and power of praying God's Word. Listen it and let it bless your spirit as it did mine!
