Don't Know What To Pray? Pray In The Holy Spirit.

Have you ever tried to pray and no words came out of your mouth? Like literally, you were trying to pray but you had no idea what to pray about it. If that has ever happened to you, don't feel bad. It happens to me all the time. Sometimes I get in my prayer closet and I know exactly what and who to pray for. Then other days I just sit there like, "Okay Lord You called me to pray about but I don't what to say!"

When we go into prayer we are not always going to know what we should pray for and truth be told we are not always going to feel like praying. But thank God for our Helper, the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:26-27 says, "And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don't know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words, And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will.."

In those moments of prayer when you are at a loss of words, if you ask Him, the Holy Spirit will pray through you and for you to the Father! No matter struggling in prayer! It's is the Holy Spirit job and desire to take over in those moments when we our natural minds go blank. And the great about the Holy Spirit He never misses the mark in prayer like we do because always prays in alignment with God's will.

As Christians we should always be praying in the Holy Spirit because it spiritually builds us up and grows our faith (Jude 1:20). Not knowing what to pray is never an excuse not to pray when you have a Helper that will pray through and for you! If you are not praying frequently in the Holy Spirit, you need to. Ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit. You need Him interceding to God on your behalf.

Another way I pray when I don't know what to pray is I pray the Word of God! Over the weekend write out some prayers based on scriptures. For example, if you are dealing with financial issues find scriptures in the bible that talk about finances and then write out prayers based on those scriptures. When you don't know what to pray, you can always pray the Word of God! And you can trust if you pray those prayers in faith God will answer them because He is always watching over His Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12).

This week's prayer focus is praying in the Holy Spirit. The true mark of being a born again believer of Christ Jesus is being filled with the Holy Ghost and walking in the Spirit daily. Like the number 666 is the mark of the beast and represents being a follower of Satan, the mark of Holy Spirit represents being a follower of Christ and a son or daughter of the Most High God.

You need the Holy Spirit not only in your prayer life, but in every aspect of your life. You need His wisdom, guidance, instruction, comfort, help rebuke, conviction, and revelation. So today, and yes do it today, prayer and ask the Lord the fill you with the Holy Spirit.
