This Week's Affirmation:
No matter how righteous we strive to be, our hearts need to be constantly checked. Jeremiah 17:9 says, "The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?” God holds us accountable for the things we store in our hearts. With this said, we should try to keep our hearts as clean and pure as possible. Jeremiah 17:10 says, “But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve."
This week I am praying for God to purify our hearts. If are our hearts defiled, I am praying God gives us new hearts.
This Week's Faith Declarations:
I put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. Romans 13:14
Create in me a clean heart and renew the right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10).
I purify myself in Christ 1. John 3:3
I am have a pure heart that that is filled with love, a clear conscience, and genuine faith. 1 Timothy 1:5
She Prays For You:
Today I pray for Your children to live in purity. As an intercessor, I pray we develop a clear and clean conscience and a desire to live honorably in every way (Hebrews 13:18). Many of us think we are pure in our own eyes, but we are filthy and unwashed. Cleanse us in the Blood of Jesus.
Father You said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” (Matthew 5:8). Lord, purify our hearts. Examine us, test our hearts, minds, and thoughts. Show us if we are heading down a path of ungodliness. Lord, if You we are, convict us so we can repent. Then helps us get back on a path of righteousness (Psalms 139:23-24).
Lord, we confess our sins to You because You are faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins and cleanse us from all righteousness (1 John 1:9). Holy Spirit, we give You full permission to put to death the sins of our flesh: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, greed, and idolatry (Colossians 3:5). Holy Spirit, help us to reject ungodliness and worldly passions in our lives. It is only though Your power and guidance that we can live self-controlled, moral, and godly lives in this present world (Titus 2:12).
Now that we have purified ourselves by obeying Your Word, help us Holy Spirit to have and show sincere, deep love for one another (1 Peter 1:22).
In Jesus’ name. I pray. Amen.
