As Christians we know that life and death is in the power of the tongue. Many of us can easily and quickly recite that scripture. But do we truly believe the scripture? Do we truly believe life and death is in the power of our tongues and whatever we speak will manifest? What I have come to learn in my 30 years on this earth is whether we believe it or not, what we speak, good or bad, is what manifests in our life. If you have been wondering why you haven’t received deliverance, healing, breakthrough, or freedom from God in certain areas of your life, I would advise you to check your words. Are you speaking life or are you speaking death?
God moves and acts in our lives when we speak words of faith. For without faith, it is impossible to please Him. I can't ask God to deliver me from something , but then constantly speak words of gloom and doom over the very thing that I asked Him to deliver me from. It cancels it out my faith and without faith God will not move. Our greatest demonstration of our faith in God is in the words we speak. Our words are our thoughts spoken out loud. And the bible tell us as a man think it so is he (Proverbs 23:7). I don't care how much you want God to deliver, heal, or set free from something if you don't believe in your mind that God can and will do it for you, your words will reflect that. And your words will manifest what you speak. I have been asking God to deliver me from fear in a certain area in my life, but I constantly speak words of doubt and unbelief in that area of my life. Well it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out I haven't received my deliverance yet. I have been speaking death in the very area I want God to give me life in.
Can you relate? Are you speaking death in areas you want God to give you life in? Your marriage is still bad because you keep speaking badly over it. Your are still having issues at your job because you can't stop speaking negatively about your boss and co-workers. You haven't received a breakthrough in your finances because you keep telling everybody you are broke. You haven't moved on from your last heartbreak because you keep telling anybody who will listen to you how bad your ex hurt you and how you just can't get over it. You are speaking against the very things you are asking God for. Then you wonder why things you have been praying for haven't changed. God can't give you life if you keep speaking death in.
Our words create our world. Jesus tell us in Matthew 12:37, "By your words you will be declared innocent, or by your words you will be declared guilty." Again, God moves in our lives based on our words! If you speak fear, unbelief, and doubt that is what you receive! When you speak words of faith you give God the power to MOVE! What are you speaking?! Today God wants me to help you help yourself! But What Does The Word of God Say- Are you needing a breakthrough in your finances, healing in your body, restoration in you marriage, or deliverance from fear or an addiction? Whatever you need, find scriptures about it in the Bible. Remember, God moves only faith. When we speak His Words in faith He assures us that He watches over His Word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). Find scriptures about what you are believing God to do in your life.
Write and Mediate on the Word-Once you find the scriptures, write them down! Write them down in a notebook! Type on them in a Word document and print several copies! Write them down on sticky notes and post them on mirrors in your house, in your car, or in your office at work! Keep the scriptures near you at all times. Read them over and over again. Mediate on them. Speak them. Pray them. But most importantly, believe them! "For all the promises of God in him are yes, and in him Amen, to the glory of God by us"(1 Corinthians 1:20). Truly have faith that the God's Word will come to pass in your life as you speak them and speak them in faith!
Speak The Word of God Daily- Your next step is to speak the scriptures! Don't speak what you see in the natural. No, "call those things that are not as though they were" (Romans 4:17). Life and death are in the power of your tongue. God's Words are life and they are truth! So speak them! Don't speak what you see. Don't even speak what you feel. Speak what you believe! Speak what you want to happen! Speak the Word of God over your situation! Speak life! Speak faith!
Who Is In Your Room- When Jesus resurrected young girl in the bible who had died, He put everybody out of the room who didn't believe He could bring her back to life. The only people He allowed in the room with Him were people who had faith in Him and His ability to raise the girl back from the dead. The people He put out the room laughed at Him and mocked Him when He told them that girl wasn't dead but asleep. My question to you today is are the people in your life speaking life or death over the situations and people you are believing God to change? If the people closest to you are speaking doubt and you are speaking faith, there unbelief can cancel out your faith. So like Jesus, you need to get the unbelievers out of your room! The only people you need around you are the people have faith and agreeing with your faith on the things you are believing God for. Kick the doubters out! If they ain't' speaking life with you, they got to go!
Keep Speaking, Keep Praying, Keep Believing- Speak what you believe, until it manifests! I don't care how long it takes, keep speaking the Word of God over your situation, keep praying, and never stop believing! Keep speaking life!
